Printed by hand using carved pearwood blocks pressed into distemper paint made from chalk, hide glue, and non-toxic pigments. The ochre and the chalk are mixed fresh from raw pigment each time, just as they would have been at the turn of the last century. Background painted first, pattern printed on top.
Unpretentious enough for a kitchen or a hallway, warm enough for a bedroom. The kind of wallpaper that gets along with everyone, whatever its reputation.
